Environmental SustainabilityAt C&C Smith, we strive to be a no-waste facility from start to finish. Bark removed from our logs goes to landscaping companies or mushroom farms. Sawdust is used for pellets or to heat our dry kilns. We grind all remaining waste and turn it into premium wood pellets. The Forest Stewardship Council is an international, independent organization dedicated to promote responsible forestry. Products carrying the FSC label are guaranteed to come from forests managed to FSC’s strict standards. In 2008, C&C Smith Lumber achieved chain of custody certification to process FSC certified timber. We are proud to offer FSC certified logs, turning squares and cabinetry upon request.
