About Us

Thanks to our Appalachian Mountains location, we have ready access to some of the finest hardwoods in the world through independent logging companies and individual loggers. We produce cherry, hard and soft maple, ash and red oak at one of the largest square mills in the east, with dry kiln capacity of 3 million square feet. C&C Smith Lumber serves the entire furniture industry, from the smallest carving company to most major domestic furniture companies.

We pride ourselves on exploring new markets and are always looking for better ways to serve our customers:

  • In 1992, we launched our wood pellet operation, turning fresh hardwood sawdust into some of the highest quality pellets on the market.
  • Two years later, we started a laminating process to utilize offalls and fill a customer need. Today we laminate large squares, panels and a variety of parts for the kitchen cabinet industry.
  • In 2005, a simple customer request for a custom vanity sparked our fast-growing cabinet division.
  • Most recently, C&C Lumber has entered the export market, packing our squares and logs for overseas sales and delivery.

At C&C Smith, we strive to be a no-waste facility from start to finish. Bark removed from our logs goes to landscaping companies or mushroom farms. Sawdust is used for pellets or to heat our dry kilns. We grind all remaining waste and turn it into premium wood pellets.

Although C&C Smith Lumber Company has grown considerably over the past 45 years, our owners maintain a hands-on approach that keeps the focus on quality. Whether we’re producing turning blanks, dimension parts, pellets or any other wood product, we promise—and deliver—the highest level of quality.
